FAQs

What are exclusivity rights to a custom commission design, and why do you charge for them?

As with most handcrafted, bespoke items, there may be several iterations of a custom commission design before it is completed to the client’s standards. Reserving the right to sell those iterations allows me as an artist to recover the costs of materials and time that go into making them, and keeps the pricing for my custom commissions at the low cost that they currently are (most of my custom commissions cost the same as my ready-made stock). Having a client purchase exclusivity rights covers the financial loss incurred by not being allowed to sell those iterations, or to make future products using that design; simply put, when a client purchases exclusivity rights, it forces a design into retirement so that I cannot use or sell it anymore.

Can I order a custom commission from you, and have you remake an old design?

Yes, you can! Please be aware, however, that some designs are experimental pours made with leftover resin (to reduce waste). These designs may not be replicated perfectly, due to their experimental nature.

What does “ptp” mean?
